While wandering the perimeter of the pack’s territory, you discover a band of Newbloods chasing a Badblood pup around. Pushing the bastard worven to the ground, the harrassing hounds encircle the estranged mutt.

Some of the pups bite the Badblood’s tail, while others nip the bastard’s ears. Eventually, the assailants notice you staring from across the yard. They pause for a moment, parting the circle to reveal the disheveled pup at the center lying in the dirt. The bastard stares back at you with a pair of wide eyes begging for someone to help.

[Choice 1a](Vigor 1 and Durability 1) You decide to assist the bastard worven by jumping in to fight the bullies. Using your superior strength, you swat away the pack of Newbloods with minimal injuries. Although enraged by your meddling, the pups give up the ghost and slink away back to their dens. Assisting the bastard to their feet, they thank you by giving you a gift before leaving. (Gain +5 Growth and a small animal skin bag full of crushed blueberries for soothing pain).

[Choice 1b] (Unsuccessful Test) Despite your best efforts, the surrounding worven beat you down with their numbers advantage. They snarl and snap but are too worn out from the fight to do any more damage than what they’ve already done. Exhausted, they head back to their dens to get some rest. Brushing off your wounds, the Badblood thanks you for trying to help. (Gain +5 Growth and a small animal skin bag full of crushed blueberries for soothing pain. Lose -5 Reputation).

[Choice 2] Taking the opportunity to show your allegiance to the pack, you jump next to the side of one of the Newbloods to join in the taunting. Together, you and your packmates humiliate the Badblood by rubbing dirt into its wounds. You all take turns getting your kicks in before returning to camp. Before you leave, you snarl at the bastard, warning that it is not welcome in your pack’s territory. (Gain +5 Growth and +5 Reputation).

With the Badblood gone, you rejoin your family back at your den.
